Tattered Remnants, Inc. is committed to creating, sustaining, and nurturing live theatre in South Florida. We believe theater is a collective art between the artists and the audience, and, as such, we are always seeking ways to reach out and bring theater to underserved populations. In the evolving reality of today’s theatre, we are continually searching for new and inspiring artists to partner with and foster. While our specific focus is on work that examines the social contract, we seek to be a theatrical hub, providing and sharing our resources to build a community of communities

The Blueprint

Tattered Remnants, Inc. exists because there also exists an America where public support for arts and culture is eroding, material costs are rising, and resources are increasingly concentrated among a handful of large organizations. We believe the future of theatre will not be built by reproducing the systems that got us here, but by digging deeper and returning to the roots of civilization itself.

Civilization wasn’t built by kings and conquerors. It was built by ordinary people gathering to bake bread, brew beer, and tell each other stories. It is our core belief that the power of beer, bread, and stories to bring people into a room together is the power that creates, shapes, and defines what comes next.

Tattered Remnants is guided by a core conviction from the Natya Shastra: that good theatre does three things at once. It entertains the drunk, it asks the big questions, and it reminds us what it means to be human.

We’re not interested in art that only manages one of the three.

Tattered Remnants produces theatrical releases that champion new work, revisit the dramatic canon, and examine and challenge the practice of theatremaking. We’re here to build a catalog that lives at the intersection of literature, indie rock, and mutual aid.

We’re not here to behave.
